How to not make money on the Wild Wild Web

How to not make money on the Wild Wild Web

Lots of people write how-to articles on how to get rich on the Internet and other schemes, most of which usually end up with recommending what services to buy using their referral link.

I do not know how to make money on the Wild Wild Web, but I do notice that the way to not make money is to make lots of posts on social media.

The people making money on the Internet post mainly on websites that they get advertising revenue from, and then post links to those articles, pictures, etcetera, on various social media forums.

Part of the advertisement revenue that they get is based on how many views that they get.

Sounds simple?  It is.  And it is easy to set up a free site like wb8tyw-projects   But most of these sites do not get enough views to make any money.   And this being my first blog post there means that I do not have any revenue yet.

And the people telling how to make money on the Wild Wild Web are saying that I am doing things all wrong, that I have to use more popular paid services and a personal domain that I can move as needed to get the best advertisement revenue.

Well, I do not care if this blog makes money.  Part of this is just an experiment to see if it ever makes any money, but I am not counting on it.  In fact, I would be surprised if it ever gets enough consistent views to get any payments, as for at least the short term, I will not have much content there.

One of the reasons for this blog is to make my posts to the various forums more efficient.

Providing a short answer on the online forum, which will quickly get lost in the history, and a link to a more detailed post as a blog entry.

The wb8tyw-projects articles are mainly going to be related to the various hobby projects that I am involved with.
